NATION IN BRIEF : FLORIDA : Drug Money Sting Yields $22 Million

The U.S. Customs Service accumulated $22 million in cash from drug traffickers who thought undercover agents were laundering their profits in a sting described as the agency’s largest currency seizure. Customs Commissioner Carol Boyd Hallett flew to Miami to show off more than $18 million of the cash. One arrest has been made. Hallett said the probe of a drug ring involving Colombians and Cuban-Americans is continuing.
