Brush Fire Burns 75 Acres but Damages No Homes

A brush fire spread over 75 acres within an hour in Diamond Bar on Thursday, but no injuries were reported and no houses were damaged, county fire authorities said.
The fire started at 1:19 p.m. near the Orange Freeway south of Pathfinder Road and was extinguished about an hour later, authorities said. Residents on Quail Run Drive were briefly evacuated and allowed to return home by 5:30 p.m.
