Dreizler, who has worked under Gerakos at Irvine the past seven seasons, will work with the pitchers at UCLA, as he did at Irvine. He replaces Tip LeFebvre, who resigned.
John Altobelli, who has been an assistant at Irvine for three seasons, will become Gerakos’ full-time assistant, and a pitching coach will be hired, Gerakos said.
