The Downey City Council on Tuesday gave Newport Pacific Development the green light to build a four-story, 116-unit senior citizens condominium complex on Brookshire Avenue just south of Firestone Boulevard.
The project is expected to be complete and ready for occupancy by February, 1991, said Al Marshall, company president.
Prices for the one-bedroom and two-bedroom units will range from $79,000 to $125,000, Marshall said. The $11-million project will feature recreation rooms on every floor and a pool. The complex also will have about 125 parking spaces.
