Kimberly-Clark Corp.: The paper manufacturer reported that second-quarter earnings fell 20.6% from a year earlier to $80.4 million. Revenue was $1.61 billion, up 15%. The Dallas-based company said a one-time charge of $44 million connected with the sale of a newsprint operation was responsible for the reduction in profit.
