Home Builder’s Profits Off 35%

Standard Pacific, L.P., the Costa Mesa home builder, said its net earnings totaled $16.9 million for the second quarter, a 35% decline from the $26.1 million posted in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue rose slightly to $110.7 million from $110.3 million. For the first half, net income dropped 28% to $35.6 million.
