Demi Moore will play a psychic and Jeff Daniels is her neighbor, a psychiatrist who believes her abilities are harming his practice, in the romantic comedy-drama “The Butcher’s Wife,” produced for Paramount by Wallis Nicita and Lauren Lloyd. Terry Hughes will direct the Ezra Litwak-Marjorie Schwartz script. Shooting begins Oct. 1 in New York, North Carolina and L.A.
Anthony LaPaglia (Ally Sheedy’s Mafioso boyfriend in “Betsy’s Wedding”) will play Michael Keaton’s partner in Hollywood Pictures’ police drama, “One Good Cop.” Heywood Gould will make his directorial debut with his own script for producer Laurence Mark. Filming in New York and L.A. begins Aug. 20.
Stuart Whitman is the final cast member in Christara Pictures’ “Color of Evening,” joining Martin Landau, Ellen Burstyn, Ione Skye and Roddy McDowall. Producer-director Stephen Thomas Stafford launches production locally on July 30.
