LONDON — Princess Anne’s work for poor children around the globe has earned her a Nobel Peace Prize nomination.
President Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia said Wednesday that he nominated the 39-year-old daughter of Queen Elizabeth II.
She has traveled to 26 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East since she became president of the Save the Children Fund 20 years ago.
“She loves people,” Kaunda said in a BBC interview. “She has extended that love to working for helpless children in many parts of the world. That is love in action.”
