Song Sung Blue: What They’re Saying About Barr-Mangled Banner

Bravo to Roseanne Barr. Her sitcom has given us the most realistic view of family life on TV and now she gives us a rendition of our national anthem that this tacky embarrassment deserves. This ungodly mishmash--part unsingable English boozing song, part incoherent lawyer’s rant--is a travesty that has to go.

I have visions of owners booking 2 Live Crew in a rap anthem or Madonna voguing her way through this twaddle. Abandon this pregame nonsense once and for all.
