CHINESE PRISONS

I am currently researching a specific era of Chinese history for a biographical work.
I would like to talk to anyone with first-hand experience in the Chinese prison system between the years of 1949 and 1955, in order to accurately depict the general setting, atmosphere and actual experiences of prisoners, prison guards or visitors to the prisons.
I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone connected to the Chinese prisons in and around Peking/Tien-Tsin during this period.
