Mel Roop was named a senior planner at the Encino office of Crosby Mead Benton & Associates, a Santa Ana-based civil engineering and land-development planning firm.
Roop previously was vice president of Xetek Industries in Westlake Village, where he handled site analysis and feasibility studies.
