Agent Cooper on ‘SNL’: Kyle MacLachlan, who plays the earnest, coffee-loving FBI Agent Dale Cooper on ABC’s “Twin Peaks,” has been booked to be the host when NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” starts its 16th season Sept. 29. “Twin Peaks” makes its season debut the next night with a two-hour episode.
