Monterey Park : Larger Freeway Signs
Businesses near the freeway can advertise with taller and larger signs, the City Council decided Monday.
There had been no special allowances for freeway signs. Under the new rules, businesses within 500 feet of a freeway can erect signs up to 50 feet tall and 300 square feet in size. The businesses must be below or at the same level as the freeway.
Signs must be more than 100 feet from residential areas.
