Lymberopoulos to Pitch for St. Mary’s

Nick Lymberopoulos, a sophomore right-hander from Mission College, said Wednesday that he recently signed a letter of intent to play baseball for St. Mary’s on a partial athletic scholarship.
Lymberopoulos finished 9-3 and led local junior college pitchers with 86 strikeouts. He said he also visited Cal State Dominguez Hills and had considered Idaho, Nebraska and Nevada Reno.
The California Golden Bears youth ice hockey club will hold advance registration for youth players aged 4 to 17 on Saturday at Pickwick Ice Arena in Burbank.
The Bears will hold two scrimmages and stage a skate-a-thon from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday to raise funds for the club. Players must bring parents or guardians in order to complete the registration process.
