ANAHEIM — Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Jackie Slater ended his four-week holdout today and began preparations for his 15th season with the team.
The Rams would not say whether Slater had successfully renegotiated his contract or whether the six-time Pro Bowl player would be fined. The NFL maximum fine for a holdout is $1,500 per day.
Slater, 36, was upset with his reported $550,000 salary for the 1990 season.
The team was left with four holdouts--linebacker Kevin Greene, defensive end Doug Reed, tight end Damone Johnson and safety Michael Stewart.
