Man Held in Accident That Killed Passenger

An Altadena man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and drunk driving Sunday after his car crashed into a street light, killing his 18-year-old passenger, police said.
Joshua Moyer, 20, was driving north in the 3000 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Studio City about 3 a.m. when he lost control of his car and hit the light, Los Angeles Police Officer Dennis Smith said.
Moyer’s passenger, Moshe Ellerbrock of Pasadena, died in the crash. Moyer suffered minor injuries.
Moyer was being held at Van Nuys Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail, Smith said.
