LOCAL : Truck Fire Closes Pomona Fwy.

The westbound Pomona Freeway in Montebello was closed for nearly two hours this morning when a truck carrying containers of propane caught fire.
The fire started on the freeway east of Markland Drive about 5:30 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Andy Gutierrez said.
There were no injuries. Flames shot 60 feet into the air at the height of the blaze.
Traffic was diverted off the freeway in the area. Three westbound lanes were reopened at 7:20 a.m.
