LA HABRA — Jason Johnson did it all for La Habra High School’s football team during its 26-0 rout of Los Altos Friday night at La Habra Stadium.
Johnson, a junior running back, scored two touchdowns and gained 234 yards in 30 carries. His longest run was 47 yards. His interception of Los Altos quarterback Mike Allen at midfield with 10 minutes 54 seconds left in the third period set up La Habra’s first scoring drive that ended on a two-yard run by Johnson.
Later in the third quarter, Sean Jackson blocked a punt by Ben Hernandez that was recovered by Mike Martin for La Habra (3-0) at the Los Altos 37. Five plays later, Johnson scored again from the two with 3:42 left.
Then with 1:34 left in the third quarter, Matt Moreno returned a punt 75 yards for the Highlanders’ final score.
