Officer in Gun Battle With Robbery Suspect

An off-duty Los Angeles police officer, Daryl Little, exchanged gunfire Saturday morning with a man in a ski mask who had just robbed a West Century Boulevard gas station, police said.
The suspect appeared to have been shot in the hand, but he escaped, police said. Detectives later found the suspect’s semiautomatic pistol, ski mask and jacket at a nearby apartment complex.
