A man who intervened in an argument with another man and a woman in East Los Angeles Friday was chased into a liquor store and shot dead by the other man, who then fatally shot himself, police said.
The shooting occurred about 8:30 a.m. inside Frank Liquor’s in the 5700 block of East Beverly Boulevard, Deputy Mary Landreth said.
The shooting occurred after the gunman and a woman argued inside a business next door to the liquor store. When the other man got involved, the gunman chased him outside and into the liquor store, where he shot him to death.
The man then turned the .38-caliber revolver on himself.
Additional details about the motive for the shooting were not immediately released.
