Poly 49, Verdugo Hills 13--Quarterback Lance Garcia passed for one touchdown and ran for two more, and running back Jonathan Campbell added three touchdowns to lead the Parrots (2-1).
Garcia completed five of nine for 126 yards and carried eight times for 87 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown run.
Campbell finished with 60 yards in 14 carries. Pedro Castellanos scored on a 43-yard run in the fourth quarter for the Parrots’ final touchdown.
Verdugo Hills (0-3) scored on a five-yard run by Justin van Fleet in the second quarter. Quarterback Noel Alvarado ran seven yards in the third quarter for the Dons’ other touchdown.
