Cal State Sacramento’s soccer team ended visiting Cal State Northridge’s four-match winning streak Saturday with a 2-1 victory.
“We just lost a game we shouldn’t have lost,” CSUN Coach Marwan Ass’ad said. “The first 20 minutes we were all over them. We beat them down the wings and crossed it over but we could not score. Their goalie (Dave Lamberg) played a great game.”
Sacramento (5-10) scored 30 minutes into the match and again three minutes later. The only goal for CSUN (7-6-3) came with 10 minutes left when a shot by Bobby Reyes deflected off a defender and into the net.
