Neely Helps Bruins Tie, Beat Rangers

NEW YORK — Cam Neely tied the score with 14 seconds left in regulation, then set up Bob Sweeney’s goal with 1:30 remaining in overtime Monday night to give the Boston Bruins a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers.
The Rangers, who lost their third consecutive game, took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by John Ogrodnick and Mike Gartner.
The Bruins, who snapped a five-game road losing streak, cut the lead to 2-1 on Bob Carpenter’s goal late in the second period.
