Dexter Manley, two days after his reinstatement following a one-year ban from the NFL for substance abuse, was claimed off waivers by the Phoenix Cardinals. Manley, 31, is not eligible to play in a game until Dec. 9.
The Rams (3-7) put in a claim, but the Cardinals (2-8) had priority.
Today’s Thanksgiving Day NFL menu has the Denver Broncos playing at Detroit at 9:30 a.m., PST, and the Washington Redskins playing at Dallas at 1 p.m.
The Redskins (6-4) are the only team with realistic playoff hopes.
