UCLA Plays Gonzaga in NCAA Volleyball

The NCAA women’s volleyball tournament is under way, with first-round matches scheduled for tonight at UCLA and Cal State Long Beach.
Top-ranked UCLA (31-1) will play unranked Gonzaga (25-6) at 7 in the Wooden Center. If the Bruins win, UCLA will be the host team for the West Regional next weekend.
Defending NCAA champion Long Beach (27-8) plays San Jose State (21-7) at 7:30 in University Gym. If victorious, Long Beach will advance to the Northwest Regional and play the winner of Friday night’s Hawaii-Southwest Missouri match.
Other matches tonight featuring Southland schools include Pepperdine (25-5) at the University of New Mexico (21-6) and Idaho State (22-9) at UC Santa Barbara (29-6).
