Lompoc 28, San Marino 14--Napolean Kaufman of Lompoc rushed for 254 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Braves to a Southern Section Division VII semifinal game at San Marino.
Before a crowd of 6,000, Kaufman put on a show, finishing with a career rushing best while accounting for 292 total yards.
With the victory, Lompoc (12-1) will meet Arroyo Grande, which defeated Gardena Serra, 31-0, Friday, in the finals in a rematch between Northern League rivals. Lompoc won during the regular season, 35-28.
Lompoc put the game away in the fourth quarter with a six-play, 48-yard drive, following a 38-yard punt return by Kaufman. Fullback Manuel Vargas scored from a yard out to finish a drive highlighted by a 39-yard pass from De Georgia to Moose Mau.
