Police Saturday night were searching for a 14-month-old toddler who reportedly disappeared in the Golden Hill area earlier in the day.
The infant girl reportedly disappeared between 8 and 8:30 a.m. from her home in the 1600 block of 30th Street, possibly wearing only a diaper, said Sgt. Chuck Peck.
“Both parents live there and they discovered the child missing,” he said. “We’re not sure if she was abducted or she just got up and walked away.”
The infant’s mother said the girl was last seen about 7 a.m. “I was awakened at 8:56 and she was gone,” she said. “She must have walked out the front door. We’re hoping someone found her and still has her.”
