Israeli Airline Orders Boeing Jets: El Al Israel Airlines has ordered four Boeing jetliners worth about $425 million, Boeing Commercial Airplane Group said. El Al ordered two 747-400s and two 757-200s, and took options on two more 747-400s. The 747-400 jumbo jet can carry 412 passengers 8,400 miles, while the medium-sized 757 can carry 176 to 230 passengers 4,500 miles. For the year, Seattle-based Boeing has announced orders for 502 aircraft worth $44.7 billion.
