Robert B. Glass, a retail executive and turnaround consultant, was named executive vice president of Thrifty Drug Stores, Los Angeles. Glass, 44, most recently was a consultant for Ames Department Stores and vice chairman of Fishers Big Wheel Inc., a general merchandise retailer based in Pennsylvania. He replaces John Onestinghel, who has left the company to pursue other interests.
