College’s Christmas Trees
Whatever the legalities of its lease with Pierce College, Cicero Farms provides us with year-round fresh produce in a rural setting.
At Halloween, they not only have a huge pumpkin patch but sell them in a marvelously decorated atmosphere, complete with hayrides for the fun of our city children.
During the Christmas season, they provide us with a winter wonderland in which to shop for our trees. Beautifully decorated, it boasts a sleigh ride with Santa and the opportunity for children to pose with a real live reindeer.
So who does more for the joy and enhancement of our community? Cicero Farms or Miller & Sons, who barrel into town just long enough to get L. A. money? Scrooge lives.
And Miller & Sons better prepare for a boycott. If you can’t stand the competition, get out of the city.
