SOMIS : Firefighters Put Out 40-Acre Brush Fire

About 100 firefighters extinguished a 40-acre blaze north of Somis Monday morning, authorities said.
Ten fire engines from the Ventura County Fire Department and engines from the Santa Paula Fire Department and Camarillo State Hospital responded to the brush fire at La Loma Avenue and Price Road at 10:08 p.m. Sunday, Ventura County Fire Dispatcher Denis Miller said.
The fire was out by 10:15 a.m. Monday, authorities said.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing, Miller said.
