TUSTIN : Street Widening to Be Open House Topic
- Share via
County officials are hosting an open house Friday to answer questions from the public about the widening of Newport Boulevard in the North Tustin/Cowan Heights area, a $4-million project scheduled to begin next week.
County staff and officials from the Random Construction Co. will be on hand to talk about the project from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Foothill High School Faculty Dining Room.
The company expects to realign Newport and widen it to four lanes between St. John Place and Greenbrier Road, as well as add striped bike lanes, pedestrian walkways, new storm drains, traffic signals and landscaping.
Construction is to begin Monday. County officials said the street will stay open during the 10 months it is being worked on.
