Joe Pepitone, former New York Yankee first baseman, has been charged with misdemeanor assault after a scuffle at a Catskill mountain resort hotel with five men. The melee occurred in the lounge of the Concord Hotel after John Capurso of Bayport, N.Y., referred to Pepitone as a “has-been,” state police trooper Randall McGregor said.
