Markus Wasmeier of Germany mastered the tough Kandahar course with an aggressive run to win a World Cup downhill at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Three Olympic hopefuls, Berni Huber of Germany, Atle Skaardal of Norway and Rob Boyd of Canada suffered injuries that will keep them out of the Games at Albertville, France.
