A third body was found in the debris from several natural gas explosions and fires. Two men had been missing after fire destroyed or damaged 18 buildings in the Chicago’s West Town district, and two bodies were found, but one was that of a woman. Authorities retraced some of their search and found a male torso, Fire Department spokesman Earl Larsen said. He said he did not expect any further remains to be discovered. The explosions and fires in the neighborhood were traced to the failure of two gas pressure regulators. The breakdown allowed gas to flow into buildings at 10 times normal pressure.
