Artistic Achievements: The American Society of Cinematographers, the oldest existing organization of its form in the film industry (founded 1919), will be handing out its annual achievement awards Feb. 23 at the Beverly Hilton. Nominees for best theatrical feature are Dean Cundey (“Hook”), Allen Daviau (“Bugsy”), Adam Greenberg (“Terminator 2: Judgment Day”), Stephen Golblatt (“The Prince of Tides”) and Robert Richardson (“JFK”). Nominees for TV series (one episode): John C. Flinn (“Jake and the Fatman”), George Koblasa (“Columbo”), Ross A. Maehl (“The Young Riders”), Jack Priestley (“The Trials of Rosie O’Neill”) and Michael Watkins (“Quantum Leap”). TV movie or pilot nominees: Jon Kranhouse (“Reason for Living: The Jill Ireland Story”), Donald M. Morgan (“Dillinger”), Robert Primes (“Reasonable Doubts”), Brian J. Reynolds (“Civil Wars”) and William Wages (“I’ll Fly Away”). TV miniseries (one episode) nominees: Robert Draper (“False Arrest”), Isidore Mankofsky (“Love, Lies and Murder”) and Daryn Okada (“In a Child’s Name”).
