Naming Names: Scrap the talk about Angela Lansbury doing a “Driving Miss Daisy” series. The actress is going to stick with “Murder, She Wrote” for a ninth year and also will take on the title of executive producer starting next season, CBS reports. “Murder” continues to win its Sunday night time period and is also popular in its rerun cycle weeknights on USA cable. . . . Actor Michael J. Fox, who spent seven seasons starring in Gary David Goldberg’s “Family Ties,” will be working with Goldberg again next week at Paramount--but on the other side of the camera. Fox will direct an episode of Goldberg’s new series, “Brooklyn Bridge.” . . . Muppet characters Elmo and Telly Monster are in town today from New York to tape some “Sesame Street” inserts with Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Andy Garcia and “In Living Color” comedian Jim Carrey. Among the segments: a “Hamlet” takeoff and “Monsterpiece Theater.”
