San Clemente’s Laster Chooses Stanford

SAN CLEMENTE — Jeremy Laster of San Clemente High School, considered one of the top water polo recruits in the nation, said Tuesday he has has orally committed to play at Stanford.
Laster plans to sign with Stanford Friday, choosing the Cardinal over California, Harvard, Pepperdine and UCLA.
Laster, a member of the national junior team, scored 98 goals last season and led San Clemente to the Southern Section 4-A title. He also was named 4-A player of the year.
