Glendale : Redevelopment Forum Set
Councilman Carl Raggio, chairman of the Glendale Redevelopment Agency, will discuss the city’s plans for transportation improvements and redevelopment projects at a monthly forum today.
The City Council has begun to form a second redevelopment zone along San Fernando Road and the Southern Pacific railroad tracks. The zone would allow the city to use tax money to help build a rail system from downtown Los Angeles, through Glendale and to the outlying communities of Santa Clarita and Moorpark, linked to shuttle services in Glendale, officials said.
The forum will be from 7 to 9 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 613 E. Broadway.
