Standard Brands Gets Financing: Foothill Capital of Los Angeles agreed to loan the Torrance-based home improvement chain $17 million to continue normal business while it reorganizes its troubled operations. The retailer, which operates 135 stores in the western United States, filed for bankruptcy protection after failing to reach agreement with its lenders on a financial bailout.
