AUGUSTA, Ga. — Tom Kite, the all-tim leading money-winner on the PGA Tour, has not been invited to play in this year’s Masters tournament.
Kite, a Masters regular for the last 17 years, didn’t qualify for an invitation this time. Kite, who finished 56th in last year’s tournament, had 10 top-10 Masters finishes during those 17 years. He still has a chance to qualify, but he will have to win one of the seven PGA Tour events between now and this year’s tournament.
Defending champion Ian Woosnam was one of 22 foreign players invited to play in the tournament , which will be played April 9-12.
