Pierce’s Banuelos Signs to Attend Lewis-Clark College for Baseball

Ricky Banuelos, a sophomore shortstop from Pierce College, has signed a national letter of intent to play next season at Lewis-Clark College in Lewiston, Ida.

Banuelos, a 1988 graduate of Canoga Park High who played on the school’s City Section 4-A Division champion as a junior, was an All-Western State Conference selection at Pierce in 1991.

Banuelos, 21, will join former American Legion teammate Gregg Sheren at Lewis-Clark, a perennial NAIA power.

Banuelos and Sheren both played at the Lewis-Clark stadium in an American Legion regional tournament in 1988. Their Woodland Hills West team eventually won a World Series title.
