Glendora’s unbeaten streak continued, helping to set up a Saturday final matchup of the younger brothers of UCLA players.
Top-ranked Glendora with sophomore Cameron Murray plays second-seeded Lakewood Artesia with junior Charles O’Bannon in the Southern Section Division II-AA championship at the Sports Arena.
It took two free throws by Murray, the brother of UCLA’s Tracy Murray, with two seconds left to give Glendora a 57-55 victory over Tustin Tuesday night at Ocean View High.
Glendora (30-0) struggled against Tustin, the defending State Division II champion, for most of the game. However, Murray--who finished with a game-high 23 points--and fellow guard Adam Jacobsen--who added 15--broke loose in the second half.
