Former Husker Du singer-guitarist Bob Mould, having been dropped by Virgin Records after two solo albums, will release his first for Rykodisc in August. . . . Ryko will also release a live NRBQ album in June and the first domestic CD versions of albums by the Soft Boys, which included Robyn Hitchcock. . . .
Four years after Madison, Wis.-based Old Skull’s debut album, the members may be rock veterans, but they’re still the youngest punk-rockers in the world, being just 11 and 12. A second album, “C.I.A. Drug Fest,” is due next month.
