Turn for the Better

Regarding “U2’s U-Turn,” by Robert Hilburn (March 1):

I have been a U2 fan since the “War” album and have supported the group through thick (“The Joshua Tree”) and thin (“Rattle and Hum”).

Fans and critics should not be so quick to turn their backs on a once-in-a-lifetime group over a misunderstanding of how Hollywood really works. “Achtung Baby” has solidified U2’s position among the top rock groups.

Breaking up is hard to do, but making up makes it all worthwhile.
