O.C.’S EDGE: Orange County developers are building steel-and-glass towers, warehouses, climate-controlled malls and tree-lined planned communities in San Bernardino and Riverside counties (Times Magazine). But don’t expect the corporate chiefs to settle there, says Cal State San Bernardino economist John Husing. “It’s not the beach. Senior executives, given their choice, will pick Orange County simply because of the ambience.”
