Traveling In Style

This is in reference to the article on Vancouver (“Picture of Perfection,” Traveling in Style magazine, March 1). I read the article because I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Vancouver and want to go as soon as I can afford it. What took a lot of enjoyment out of reading the article was that Jan Morris seemed to be “exasperated by the self-control, the moderation, the logic of everything and was tempted toward antisocial activities, such as scrawling graffiti on those courthouse walls or driving my rental at 90 around Stanley Park Drive, blowing the horn and allowing hard rock to blare through my open windows.”
What have we (you) come to? Looks to me that Morris has been reviewing too many violent movies. I don’t think there is room for this kind of reporting in your otherwise fine travel section.
