Semtech Corp., a Newbury Park maker of electronic components, said it lost $280,000 in its fiscal fourth quarter, compared with a year-earlier profit of $412,000.
The loss in the quarter ended Feb. 2 came on a 25% drop in Semtech’s revenue, to $5.51 million from $7.39 million. The latest results included a $300,000 pretax charge against earnings stemming from the sale of Semtech’s microelectronics business.
For its full fiscal year, however, Semtech’s profit jumped 56% from the previous year, to $707,000 from $452,000, and its annual revenue rose 19%, to $26.5 million from $22.2 million.
