Beverly Hills Fan Co., a Woodland Hills maker of high-tech ceiling fans and lighting accessories, reported a 48% increase in its net income for its fiscal first quarter ended Jan. 31. The company’s profit for the quarter was $163,000, up from $110,000 in net income a year earlier.
Revenue for the company totaled $1.9 million in the first quarter, a 39% gain from $1.37 million in fiscal 1991’s first quarter.
Beverly Hills Fan attributed the improved results to a new bulk sales program to mass merchandisers and home improvement centers, and increased orders due to its diversified product line.
