El Camino Resources Buys Part of European Firm

El Camino Resources Ltd., a Northridge-based lessor of computers and related equipment, said it acquired a majority stake in Applied Technology Corp. (Europe), a London-based company that buys and sells computers.
At the same time, Applied Technology (Europe) purchased Bell Atlantic Financial GmbH, a German computer-leasing arm of Bell Atlantic Corp., the Philadelphia-based telecommunications giant.
El Camino said Bell Atlantic Financial now operates as part of Applied Technology (Europe) under the name ATC Systems Leasing GmbH.
Terms of both transactions, which give El Camino its first presence in Europe, were not disclosed by the privately owned concern.
